► About the iZone
iZone is your one-stop resource centre on the first floor of the Students’ Union for all things to do with student activities. This is the place to come to find out about sports clubs, societies, volunteering, one-off events and activities under the Give It A Go scheme; student media including RadioHUDD and the HuddersfieldStudent newspaper. There are sabbatical officers and staff who you can talk to about getting active and involved in YOUR Union.
We can help you get involved, and develop your activities so that you get the most out of them. Going to Uni is about more than just getting your degree!
There are loads of volunteering projects, from long-term schemes to one-off events. Come and get involved with helping out in your community, learning new skills and, most importantly, having fun!
We also have a broad ‘Give It A Go’ programme with a selection of sports, events, activities, and day trips. If you don’t have the time to commit to joining a group, why not just come along to one of these activities. It’s a great opportunity to try something new, or see something different!
We have a training programme helping you boost your CV and improve your club and society together with a number of forums where you can share your good ideas with other groups.
iZone is also the place to come to find out about representing your fellow students on Uni committees. You can be a part of making everyone’s student experience better, and gain additional skills, experience and accreditation at the same time.
At the end of the year, there's an awards evening recognising all the hard work that those of you who get involved actually put in. It all goes to making sure that you stand out from the crowd.

will be open weekdays from 11am until 3pm
