► The Marie Curie Daffodil Appeal

It was a cold day on the 1st of March when the Huddersfield Hawks took to the town centre with BIG yellow hats and a slightly crazy look in their eyes to promote the Marie Curie Cancer Care charity. They spent most of the day in howling gales (occasionally popping back to the SU for a cup of tea and toast) raising money for the charity which pays for nurses to care for terminally ill cancer patients at home.

The Great Daffodil Appeal, supported by Yellow Pages, takes place throughout the month of March. In this month they aim to get everyone across UK to give donations for daffodil badges and wear them with dignity.
It will be Marie Curie Cancer Care's 60th anniversary year this year!

The day was a complete success raising £577.20, with the top fund raising being Olivier Roujeot raising £130.51!!!!!!

With thanks to The Huddersfield Hawks American Football Team, and Louise Horsefall from Marie Curie Cancer Care.
