► Climbing and Mountaineering Club

The University of Huddersfield Climbing and Mountaineering Club participate in all styles of climbing, walking and mountaineering and the club venture outside whenever possible. Plus with our location, the club are in the fortunate position of being less than a couple of hours away from some of the best climbing in the country, with the Peak District, Yorkshire Grit and Limestone close at hand they are able to regularily get out on day trips.

The club is open to members of all abilities and they are able to provide subsidised instruction on the basic safety techniques to all members who require it. Whilst the club is geared up for novices to join and learn the basic skills, they also have a number of skilled climbers within their ranks who climb at a high level and are always looking for other climbers to come and push their boundaries. If you have been climbing before then please come down and join us.
