It's that time of year again when you will probably start to think about where you are going to live in September. If you are going to rent somewhere the most important thing is not to panic and sign up for the first thing you see. The Students' Union Advice and Information Centre is on hand to provide you with information on how to find the right property for you and what checks you should make before committing to a tenancy. • Monday 25th January - Friday 5th February 2010, 11:30am - 2:30pm:
The advisers will be running daily drop in sessions to answer your house hunting questions and to help you get started.
• Friday 29th January 2010, 11am - 2pm:
Representative from Kirklees Private Sector Housing Unit will be on hand to provide you with advice and information on your rights and how to deal with problems such as disrepair.
• Tuesday 2nd February 2010, 11am - 2pm:
West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service providing information on fire safety in the home.
• Wednesday 3rd February 2010, 11am - 2pm:
Fresh Horizons providing information on the Kirklees Safer Homes scheme.

West Yorkshire Police providing information on home security.
• Monday 8th - Friday 19th February 2010, 11:30am - 2:30pm:
Contract checking clinics. Bring your contract to the advice and Information Centre and an adviser can go through it with you and explain what the terms mean and highlight some of the consequences that you may not have thought of.
