There are five full-time, paid, sabbatical officer positions, consisting of one President and four Vice Presidents. You can check out the current sabbatical team by clicking here.
There is also a team of part-time officers - click here if you want to read up on who they are and what they do.
Put simply, these officers meet regularly to discuss all kinds of student issues. They also have a place at all the important University meetings to ensure that the student voice is heard. Not only that, but they are heavily involved with the NUS and they attend and vote in the conferences that have the potential to change students' futures.
